Suggestion: Hush.

I got this idea from Ellie saying there should be more mods, and Gotoo saying some stuff, and Dane saying there would be no new ones. The idea is The Husher/Hush, a class under the mod.
The Husher/Hush would be an agent that operates when no Mod, Admin, or S. Admin is present and their only ability would be to hush for 1 hour any individual whom they deem to be disruptive of the game and after report the incident to a mod or higher as well as screen captures of the event so that they might see if a more severe punishment is justified and they can not act when any mod or higher is online unless they are unresponsive.
Since I know nothing of the way the game code and stuff works this part of the suggestion may not be possible. The ability can also be granted temporally whenever someone higher is leaving and there is no one of mod level online if there is a suitable player trusted enough to carry such power.

There was a lot of chaos today with SantaDG's mule account, and no mods or admin were online.
There needs to be someone online with some kind of power at all times, and I like this idea.
Rules need to be upheld, leniency is okay, but when it's someone getting banned for posting nudity then double-accounting to harrass members, that's a little out of hand.

In short, I like this idea and approve this message.

Thanks for the suggestion.

It is possible to add something like this, but I don't see a necessity for it.

There's no way to guarantee someone in authority will always be on, unless we gave the power to revoke chat permissions to everyone. There's usually a moderator or higher online, between Dane, John, Marker, and me, and that covers a good portion of time. If we ever feel that we need more people on the team, we will install them as official moderators.

This is also a very small community. This kind of thing doesn't happen often. When it does, it's dealt with soon after (provided we're informed). If the site were more active and we had a problem with unruly behavior, I think it would suffice to have some official mechanism for reporting them (something that could automatically grab a portion from the chat history for us, and include account info).

Otherwise, if someone keeps harassing you, the best response really is to /ignore them until the issue can be resolved. (I'm working on some changes that will make /ignore more practical.)

The active moderators, so far, have unanimously agreed that this isn't the way to go.

I agreed, too, albeit rather silently

John stole my no's.

That's a good no though.
